Shion Wakayama is a Japanese voice actor born on February 10, 1998, in Chiba Prefecture. She is affiliated with the Himawari Theatre Group, a talent agency she joined at the age of three. Her career in entertainment began as a child actor in 2002, with her first role in the television drama Toshii to Matsu. She transitioned into voice acting in 2006, voicing a younger version of a character in the anime series Red Garden.

A significant turning point in Wakayama's career came in 2019 when she was cast in her first leading anime role as Aoi Aioi in the original animated film Her Blue Sky. This opportunity helped establish her presence in the voice acting industry. The following year, she began to gain wider recognition with a series of prominent roles, including Yume Minami in SSSS.Dynazenon, Cosette Schneider, also known as Destiny, in takt op. Destiny, and Sawa Echizen in Farewell, My Dear Cramer and its film adaptation.

Wakayama's career continued to ascend in 2022 with several high-profile performances.
