Description
Henao Jazz is a supporting character from the anime series, a third-year student in the piloting department at the Asticassia School of Technology and a member of the Grassley House. Her official student registration number is KP015. Like several of her close allies, Henao is an orphan who was raised in the Academy, a re-education program operated by the Grassley Company. She is a core member of the group of students loyal to Shaddiq Zenelli, often acting as his reliable secretary and confidante.
Henao has a quiet, mysterious, and enigmatic personality, rarely speaking more than necessary and keeping largely to herself. She is consistently calm and independent, maintaining a peaceful demeanor even in tense situations or before battles. She operates very much at her own pace, a trait often shown through her habit of practicing yoga, stretching, or sitting in a meditation pose, even in the Grassley House dormitory leader's room. One of her most notable characteristics is her possession of a strong sixth sense or almost supernatural intuition. This allows her to read people's emotions with great accuracy, and she is notably able to understand Shaddiq's hidden feelings, including his secret crush on Miorine Rembran, which she once commented on by comparing his prickly behavior around Miorine to that of a porcupine.
In the story's first season, Henao participates in the six-on-six team battle against Earth House. Piloting her Beguir-Pente mobile suit, she demonstrates her combat skills by covering an ally and using a tackle to destroy the head of Till Nys's mobile suit. She also helps weaken the Gundam Aerial by using the Antidote system, which neutralizes GUND-Format technology, but is ultimately defeated when an unknown function reactivates the Aerial and disables her own machine. As the series progresses into the second season, her role shifts away from frontline piloting. She becomes Shaddiq's secretary and is the only member of Grassley House to wear the Benerit Group's officer uniform instead of a pilot suit, highlighting her new responsibilities in communications and logistics.
Her motivations are deeply tied to her loyalty to Shaddiq and her surrogate family within the Grassley House. Having grown up together, they share a strong bond, and she trusts her teammates completely. She is fully committed to Shaddiq's ambitions, agreeing to participate in his complex plan to break up the Benerit Group through a corporate coup. In the epilogue, taking place three years after the final events of the main story, she is seen serving as a bodyguard to Miorine Rembran, alongside the other members of her group who survived.
