Description
Ramiris is a first-generation Demon Lord, the third seat of the Octagram, and one of the oldest beings in the world. She is also known as the Fairy of the Labyrinth, the Queen of Fairies, and the manager of the Dungeon. Originally a Spirit Queen created by the Star King Dragon Veldanava, she evolved into a Demon Lord thousands of years ago during a cataclysmic battle between Guy Crimson and Milim Nava, absorbing their overflowing energy and transforming into a corrupted spirit. Since then, she has held the duty of guiding chosen heroes and bestowing divine protection upon them, helping to preserve the balance of the world.
In appearance, Ramiris is a tiny fairy, roughly thirty centimeters tall, with short wild hair streaked in gold, green, and black, and insect-like wings. She typically wears a black dress and flies at great speeds. Her personality is childlike, impulsive, and boastful; she constantly claims to be incredibly powerful and often tries to puff herself up in front of others, despite being notably weaker than her fellow Demon Lords. Beneath this brash exterior, she is genuinely friendly, sociable, and charitable, willing to help those she considers friends. She loves being the center of attention, enjoys cookies, and later develops a passion for reading manga. Her obsession with research and experimentation leads her to create advanced golems and maintain an elaborate labyrinth, which she uses for both amusement and testing adventurers.
Her primary role in the story is managing the Dungeon and the Dwelling of Spirits, which serve as a training ground and a source of rare materials for the Jura Tempest Federation. She also acts as a connector between the ancient Demon Lords and Rimuru Tempest, offering guidance and support. During the Walpurgis meeting, she warns Rimuru about Clayman’s schemes and later stands with him as an ally. She is one of the few beings who can interact freely with the Storm Dragon Veldora, and the two become close friends, often spending time together reading manga.
Ramiris’s key relationships include her friendship with Veldora, her founding-era bond with Guy Crimson and Milim Nava, and her partnership with Rimuru. She commands dryads such as Treyni and the automaton Beretta, who act as her envoys. Her unique ability is a reincarnation skill that allows her to split her spirit into multiple clones when she reaches her peak as Fairy Queen, letting her start a new cycle of growth. While the clones are initially weak, they have the potential to surpass the original. This cycle has caused her to lose some memory and power over time.
Her notable abilities include creating and manipulating labyrinths, summoning spirits, casting high-level barriers, flight, telepathy, and immortality. She possesses resistance to various magical and conceptual effects due to her nature as a spiritual lifeform. Though she is physically the least powerful among the original Demon Lords, her ancient knowledge, her role as a hero guide, and her control over the Dungeon make her an irreplaceable figure in the world’s order.
