Natsumi Haruse
Description
Natsumi Haruse is a Japanese voice actress born on June 17, 1994, in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Mausu Promotion. Initially aspiring to be an actress, her concerns about her height led her to develop an interest in anime and subsequently pursue a career in voice acting.
Haruse began her career with Pro-Fit in 2014 and was a member of the new voice actor unit tamaco on the television program Seiryuumon. After leaving Pro-Fit, she worked freelance for about two and a half years, during which she also held a job as a company employee, only continuing her established roles. In February 2018, she joined Mausu Production and fully resumed her voice acting career, while continuing to balance it with her office job.
Her debut and most prominent role is Kaoru Ryūzaki in the long-running The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls franchise, appearing in the television anime, the Cinderella Girls Theater shorts, the U149 series, and various video games and drama CDs starting in 2015. This role holds special significance for her as it was her first voice acting audition. She is also known for voicing Inori Yuitsuka in the 2025 television anime Medalist. Her casting for this role was particularly notable as Tsurumaikada, the author of the original manga, was a fan of Haruse and had expressed a desire for her to play the lead character years before the anime was announced; Haruse herself was also an enthusiastic fan of the series. In video games, her roles include Milianne Grandria in Infinite Dendrogram, Ibuki Tanga in Blue Archive, and Chick Montblanc in the Senjō no Fugue series. She has also voiced multiple characters across different projects, such as Piers, Fauna, and Obake-chan in the 2022 Sylvanian Families anime series. Beyond anime and games, she achieved a childhood dream by providing the Japanese voice for Dorothy in the Disney Channel series.
A notable personal interest of Haruse is figure skating, which she has followed closely since the 2010 Winter Olympics. She has a deep knowledge of the sport, can identify different jumps, and is a particular fan of Russian skaters. This passion connects directly to her role in Medalist, a series centered on the sport. While she has not received major public industry awards, her casting in Medalist is widely regarded as a significant career achievement and a testament to her dedication and fit for the role.
