Description
Akari Ōzora is a student at Starlight School who becomes a central figure in the Aikatsu! franchise. Inspired by top idol Ichigo Hoshimiya’s performance, she dreamed of becoming an idol. After failing her initial audition, she gained entry through the Idol Caravan, where Ichigo recognized her potential despite a nervous, mistake-filled debut. Early on, Akari was clumsy, prone to tears, and quick to frustration, yet always cheerful and resilient. She initially imitated Ichigo by wearing her long hair with a pink bow, but after a joint performance, Ichigo encouraged her to find her own light. Symbolically cutting her hair into a shorter bob, Akari resolved to shine with her unique brilliance rather than as a copy. Her hairstyle continued to evolve, growing to medium length and later featuring a braid across her head. Through persistent effort and training, she grew into a hardworking, determined idol. Her primary brand is Dreamy Crown, and she formed the unit Luminas with Sumire Hikami and Hinaki Shinjo. She also performed in units such as Skips♪ and Cosmos. Her journey culminated in becoming Starlight Queen, where she expressed her goal to bring smiles to others. Akari has magenta eyes and honey brown hair. Her birthday is April 1, her blood type is A, and she enjoys watermelon, chocolate, donuts, mandarin oranges, and curry. She has a habit of kissing her Aikatsu cards before performances and possesses skills in imitation and weather forecasting. In the crossover film Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE -Deai no Kiseki!-, she appears as a third-year student whose world collides with the world of PriPara. She teams up with Manaka Laala to form the unit SoLaMi Luminas and performs a special appeal to restore the original timeline, even knowing the memories of their friendship will be erased. In Aikatsu on Parade!, she meets Raki Kiseki as an established mentor. Throughout her story, Akari evolves from an admiring novice into a confident idol who inspires others, including mentoring younger students like Rin Kurosawa. Her name, meaning “light in the vast sky,” reflects her journey to embrace her own radiance.
