Description
A-drei is a seventeen-year-old special agent and captain within the Dorssian Military Pact Federation. Standing 179 centimeters tall with a slim, androgynous build, he has silver bob-cut hair with a braid on one side, and his bangs typically cover his left eye. That eye was lost to a gunshot wound during a mission and later replaced with a prosthetic. He was born a prince of Dorssia, but after his parents were killed in a coup d’état during his childhood, he was sent to the harsh Karlstein Institute. There he abandoned his royal title to be treated as a soldier, earning the code name A-drei, which means A3 in German. Fellow agents sometimes tease him by calling him prince. His blood type is AB, and his birthday is September 16. A-drei is serious, proud, and principled, with a strong sense of duty, common sense, justice, and kindness. He speaks formally and values rules, yet his deep care for friends can influence his actions and lead him to forgive significant transgressions. He prefers tea over milk, enjoys horseback riding, and has an intense fear of cockroaches. The central relationship in his life is with his comrade L-elf, whom he views as both his greatest rival and his only true friend. Together at the Karlstein Institute, they dreamed of sparking a revolution to reform their homeland. His other key relationships include squad members X-eins, H-neun, and Q-vier, though Q-vier’s cruel personality often clashes with A-drei’s more restrained approach. During an infiltration mission on Module 77 of the JIOR Federation, A-drei was shot in the left eye by L-elf, who was being possessed by the Valvrave pilot Haruto Tokishima at that moment. This event leaves A-drei deeply conflicted, torn between a desire for revenge and a hope that his friend will return to him. After Saki Rukino reveals the truth, he feels profound regret for doubting L-elf and helps her escape as a form of atonement. Later, X-eins shows him evidence that H-neun was actually killed by their superior Cain Dressel, revealing that Dorssia is controlled by a secret council of beings called Magius. Armed with this knowledge, A-drei finally reconciles with L-elf and joins forces with him and X-eins to challenge the corrupt Dorssian leadership. A-drei is a highly skilled operative, expert in combat, marksmanship, tactics, infiltration, and piloting advanced mobile weapons such as the yellow Ideale-class mechanized annihilator and a custom-headed Baffe unit. Despite losing his eye, his mental and physical resilience allows him to return to active duty. In the final battle, he shoots and kills his comrade Q-vier. After the war, he survives and works for reform as a royalist on Earth, striving to change his country for the better.
