Elizabeth, commonly called Lizzie, is a character from the anime and manga series The Qwaser of Stigmata. She is a Qwaser who controls the element of titanium and is affiliated with the organization Athos. Her Maria is Teresa Beria. Lizzie was taken in as an orphan by Shinichiro Ootori, who recognized her talents as a Qwaser and became her master. She refers to him as “master” and trains under his guidance. In terms of appearance, Lizzie has long, unkempt blonde hair tied in a short ponytail, red eyes, and a boyish, tomboyish physique. She typically wears a black shirt with blue overalls. Her personality is a mix of contradictory traits; outside of battle she is brash, childish, and easygoing, but when fighting she becomes serious, focused, and highly capable. She is also responsible, reliable, and fiercely loyal, especially toward her master and those she cares about. This loyalty leads her to assist Shinichiro in kidnapping Tomo Yamanobe, a key plot event, by fighting Alexander Nikolaevich Hell (Sasha) to prevent his rescue attempt. She is defeated in that encounter but is spared. Lizzie wields an enormous double-bladed greatsword named Excalibur, which she can transform into a high-frequency blade through her titanium ability, allowing it to produce powerful shockwaves and slice through nearly any material at a molecular level. She is known for her wild, instinctive swordsmanship and a desire to eventually defeat Sasha in battle. Her relationships include a strong attachment to Mafuyu Oribe and a close friendship with Tomo Yamanobe and others in the school. She is a supporting character who appears in both seasons of the anime and the related OVA, acting as an ally and occasional antagonist due to her allegiance to her master’s plans. Lizzie’s development centers on her growth as a Qwaser and her deepening bonds with those around her, though her primary motivation remains loyalty to Ootori and the goals of Athos.
