Ai Shimizu is a Japanese voice actress, singer, and professional wrestler born in Tokyo on March 26, 1981. She began her career after graduating from Nihon Kogakuin College, where she studied voice acting. Her debut in the early 2000s led to a prolific career with a wide range of anime roles, music releases, and a unique second career as a professional wrestler.

Shimizu's voice acting career is marked by a high volume of roles across television anime, OVAs, and video games from the 2000s onwards. Among her many early roles are Minawa Andou in Mahoromatic, Momen Sanada in Lime-iro Senkitan, and Karen Onodera in Please Twins!. She gained further recognition for her performances as Mikoto Minagi in the My-HiME and My-Otome series, a role that became one of her most well-known. Other notable credits include Road Kamelot in D.Gray-man, Ellis in El Cazador de la Bruja, Tamao Suzumi and Kizuna Hyuga in Strawberry Panic!, and Mitsuki Sawatari in He Is My Master. In the 2010s, she continued to take on significant roles such as Dai-sensei in Is This a Zombie?, Sango in the Jewelpet series, Serafall Leviathan in High School DxD, and Sachi Komine in The Fruit of Grisaia.

Beyond anime, Shimizu built a concurrent career as a singer signed to the Lantis record label. She released multiple singles and four albums, with her work occasionally charting on the Oricon charts. A notable and unusual aspect of Shimizu's career is her work as a professional wrestler. A long-time fan of wrestling, she trained and made her in-ring debut in December 2013. She performed with Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling and later in Ice Ribbon, where she won the Triangle Ribbon Championship, a significant achievement that highlights her versatility and commitment to the sport.

Shimizu was formerly affiliated with agencies such as 81 Produce and the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society before becoming a freelancer in 2014. In her personal life, she married ring announcer Mike Inoue in 2016. She also holds a level 2 certificate in the Chinese Proficiency Test, reflecting her study of Mandarin.
