TV-Series
Description
Georg Tanner is a supporting antagonist in The Qwaser of Stigmata. He is the younger brother of Friederich Tanner and holds the designation Gamma Omega. Within the Adepts' hierarchy, he occupies the eighth position.
Georg is a young man with an aristocratic bearing, typically appearing in formal attire, and he possesses blue eyes and chin-length brown hair. His most defining personality traits are his extreme narcissism and arrogance. He takes great pride in boasting about his aristocratic origins and habitually treats those he considers beneath him as inferior beings. This vanity extends to the elaborate ornament on his right hand, which he uses as a weapon; he is constantly seen cleaning and admiring this device.
His motivations are deeply intertwined with his brother's ambitions. Georg shares Friederich's ideological beliefs, hoping to destabilize Europe and work towards the restoration of the Holy Roman Empire with Germany at its helm. He holds an especially bitter rivalry with the Qwaser Jita Phrygianos and her brother, whom he deems unworthy of their status, leading to a conflict where he nearly had Jita killed.
In the story, Georg serves as a direct subordinate to his brother. During a significant confrontation when Friederich attempts to unseal the Theotokos, Georg is tasked with defending him against the protagonists, including Sasha and Ekaterina. He is aided in this battle by Aoi Kuchiba and Milk. Despite his formidable powers, the fight proves too much for him. He suffers a severe defeat, during which his face is greatly disfigured by Sasha's scythe before he is nearly incinerated. Critically wounded and unable to continue, he is dragged from the battlefield by his ally Aoi.
Regarding his notable abilities, Georg can control both cobalt and gamma rays. He channels these powers to create destructive laser-like beams that emanate from the ornament on his right hand.
