Kōji Yusa is a Japanese voice actor and narrator born on August 12, 1968, in the Fushimi-ku ward of Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. His interest in voice acting was sparked during his junior high school years after receiving a boombox, which led him to listen to radio dramas. He studied Japanese language in college before training at the Katsuta Voice Actor Academy as part of its seventh class. Yusa made his professional debut as a voice actor in 1993 at the age of twenty-five, with his first role in the anime series The Brave of Gold Goldran. Initially, he was affiliated with the talent agency Office Kaoru, but he later left the agency to work as a freelancer.

Throughout his career, Yusa has built an extensive filmography, providing voices for a wide array of characters in anime, drama CDs, and dubbed versions of foreign films. He is also active as a narrator for information programs and has participated in numerous events and radio shows.

Among his most recognized roles are Gin Ichimaru in the long-running series Bleach and Shadow the Hedgehog in the Sonic the Hedgehog game and anime adaptations. He has also voiced Vincent Law in Ergo Proxy, Lau in Black Butler, Kyōsuke Hyōbu in Zettai Karen Children, Akira Midousuji in Yowamushi Pedal, and Brain Unglaus in Overlord. His roles include the three characters specified: Renzō Shima in Blue Exorcist, Zhou Gongjin in The irregular at magic high school, and Hakutaku in Hozuki's Coolheadedness.

Yusa's work is not limited to animation. He is well-known for his portrayal of Urataros, one of the main characters in the popular tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Den-O, a role for which he received significant recognition.

In recognition of his work, Kōji Yusa was a recipient of the Synergy Award at the 2nd Seiyu Awards, an honor given to the cast of Kamen Rider Den-O for their collective performance.
