TV-Series
Description
Ron is a member of the Company, an organization specializing in memory manipulation that exploits psychic individuals as "pets." As the nephew of the Company's president, he collaborates closely with operatives Jin and Meiling to advance their agenda, particularly in developing pets incapable of disobedience.
Personality-wise, Ron balances casual irreverence with calculated ruthlessness. He demonstrates casual familiarity by answering phones without permission at Pizza Hut locations and helping himself to food, yet executes Company objectives with cold precision. Prone to explosive anger—like sweeping a laptop off a table during confrontations—he also exhibits a sadistic preference for psychological manipulation over violence, such as altering memories to enforce loyalty. Despite this, he adapts his approach when others propose more effective methods.
His background includes early involvement in Company operations, where he advised Tsukasa to acquire new pets to resolve issues with existing ones. In the main storyline, Ron monitors targets like Hiroki from Pizza Hut while coordinating with Jin, deploying Meiling’s butterfly-shaped psychic image to infiltrate and rewrite memories. Notably, he manipulates Dahao Chen by implanting false memories that compel Dahao to murder his grandfather under the belief it was his father’s order.
Ron participates in the Chen family takeover, attending a yacht meeting naked alongside the CEO and Meiling to prove they carry no weapons. There, he signals Dahao to assassinate his grandfather and activates Dahao’s guard to eliminate rival forces, securing the CEO’s control. Later, he investigates Tsukasa’s survival after Hayashi’s near-fatal crushing, confronting Tsukasa during a banquet to interrogate him about Hayashi’s condition while dismissing Tsukasa’s weapon requests.
His relationship with Tsukasa is openly adversarial, marked by hatred for Tsukasa’s role in Hayashi’s state per Company orders, and he actively sabotages Tsukasa’s efforts. Ron views all individuals as expendable once they outlive their utility, dedicating himself solely to creating a perfectly obedient pet before discarding others.
