Description
Loki is a character from the anime Divine Gate who originates from the God World. He serves as a member of the World Council alongside Arthur, the leader of the council. Loki embodies a strong sense of enigma and is described as an extraordinary trickster, someone who should never be taken at face value. His personality is defined by unpredictability; he frequently makes vague, confusing remarks and takes actions that are difficult to anticipate, deliberately throwing situations into chaos. Although he outwardly appears to cooperate with Arthur and the council's efforts to find the Divine Gate, his true intentions remain unclear, and it is suggested that his apparent alignment may be a facade. In the story, Loki plays a role as both a council member and a hidden antagonist. He later aligns himself with the Geniuses of Divine, a group that opposes Arthur, and conspires with the character Shakespeare to trap the main protagonists in a divine play. Loki actively works to obstruct Arthur’s plan to reach and destroy the Divine Gate, setting him on a collision course with the heroes. His key relationships include his ambiguous partnership with Arthur and his alliance with Oz, who also stands against Arthur. Loki undergoes subtle development as his schemes become more overt, shifting from a behind-the-scenes manipulator to a direct obstacle in the quest for the Gate. Notable abilities are less explicitly defined in the series, but his trickster nature suggests mastery of deception, illusion, and psychological manipulation, allowing him to orchestrate elaborate traps and mislead others. Visually, he is depicted with medium-length gray hair, green eyes, and often wears a top hat, half-mask, and vest, reinforcing his mysterious and theatrical persona.
