Physically, Koumei sports short-cut hair and adopts a monk-like aesthetic. He wears a black kimono and wields a staff as his primary weapon. Personality-wise, Koumei radiates arrogance and pride. He firmly believes in his own invincibility, considers himself unmatched in strength, and frequently boasts about the power of his name, with this overconfidence deeply influencing his actions. Within *Dragon Destiny*, Koumei first appears during the assault on Yoshu Academy. Alongside his fellow Pillared Gods, he easily overpowers the defenders, enabling Kyoshou's conquest. He later directly challenges Kan-u to a rematch. Initially gaining the upper hand and nearly rendering her unconscious, Koumei is ultimately defeated when Kan-u rallies, driven by her resolve to protect others. She attributes his loss to his overconfidence, suggesting his ancestor would disapprove. Koumei also participates in the Battle of Red Cliffs, where Kyoshou aims to secure the Dragon Jade for Sousou. Facing Gakushuu, Koumei initially believes their strength matched, only to discover Gakushuu had been holding back. The confrontation ends with Gakushuu slamming him onto a steel girder, decisively defeating Koumei. Following these events, Koumei is last seen meditating alongside the other Pillared Gods at a waterfall-based tourist location, withstanding the cascade's force and impressing onlookers, indicating a shift toward reflection or recovery.
