A first-year middle school student named Konomi Inori has just moved to the town of Onegai. While exploring her new home, she stops at the town plaza and prays before a statue of a goddess, wishing for the chance to become an AiPri, a singing and dancing idol princess. As if in answer to her prayer, she unexpectedly encounters the famous and popular AiPri, Aoi Yumemiya. With Aoi is a mysterious, talking stuffed toy named Fortu.

It is soon revealed that Fortu is searching for a special AiPri capable of making a wish come true. Aoi hands Konomi a special item known as the Mirror Pact. When Konomi opens it, she is granted the very AiPri debut she had been dreaming of. This event marks the beginning of her journey in the world of AiPri.

Konomi and Aoi, together with Fortu, form the unit known as Onegai Kanaetai, which translates to the Wish-Granting Team. Their performances as AiPri are more than just concerts; they hold the power to help make the wishes of the people in their town come true. The story is set in the town of Onegai and follows Konomi as she navigates the challenges of her new life, the magic of the AiPri world, and her mission to bring happiness to others through her idol activities. Alongside Konomi and Aoi, the cast includes other AiPri such as Gumi Tomosaka, Olivia Yuki, Nana Atami, and Ema Mochinaga.
