Daiko Hayami is a supporting character in New Cutey Honey. She is the wife of Akakabu Hayami and the mother of Chokkei Hayami, making her a member of the eccentric family that provides a home for the series protagonist, Honey Kisaragi. A crook by nature, Daiko has a fondness for stealing, with a particular taste for pilfering jewels and other valuables. However, her criminal activities are curbed by a genuine fear of the series’ primary antagonist, the crime lord Dolmeck, and his gang, which prevents her from going out to steal as often as she would like. Despite her dishonest tendencies, Daiko is fiercely protective of her family and does not hesitate to fight off anyone who poses a threat to them. She possesses a surprising amount of physical strength, being able to lift large and heavy debris with ease.
