Mikiyasu Shinshi is a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Special Vehicles Section 2, Division 2, serving as the backup and command operator for Unit 2 as well as the driver of the unit's carrier vehicle. He was born in 1971 in Fujieda, Shizuoka, and is a graduate of Tokyo University. Before joining the police force, he worked as an office employee at a general trading company. Shinshi is the only married officer in his unit, and his wife is named Tamiko. His personality is mild and meek, often allowing himself to be pushed around by his more boisterous colleagues.
