Description
Baddap Sleed is the captain and forward of the team Ogre, a powerful squad from the military academy Ogre Gakuen. He is a primary antagonist in the film Inazuma Eleven the Movie: Kyūkyoku no Kizuna Griffon, later making a significant appearance in the crossover OVA Inazuma Eleven: Chōjigen Dream Match.

Coming from a future timeline, Baddap was born into an elite family; his father is a military general, and his mother is a high-ranking government official expected to become the nation's first female prime minister. This background instilled in him a profound sense of pride and destiny, as he was groomed for leadership from an early age. He was enrolled at Ogre Gakuen due to his father's respect for Admiral Hibiki, and his exceptional intelligence and physical abilities quickly made him the academy's top prodigy, surpassing all of his peers and even his seniors. His strategic brilliance was demonstrated when he defeated a fellow student, Eskaba, in a tactical debate by arguing for total psychological domination over a simple victory.

Physically, Baddap is a tall young man with tanned skin, spiky gray hair with two shoulder-length locks, and piercing red eyes. He wears a grey military-style jacket with two chest pockets and a clover leaf emblem on the left side. A distinctive mark on his forehead appears when he is appointed leader of the Ogre squad, symbolizing his command.

In personality, Baddap is initially presented as calm and silent, maintaining a cool and composed demeanor during his team's arrival and early matches. However, this exterior masks a deep-seated rage toward soccer. He becomes explosively angry whenever the sport is praised, reacting violently to positive remarks about it, particularly those made by Endou Kanon during their match. This rage is a result of his harsh military conditioning, which taught him to view soccer as a threat to be eliminated. He is a ruthless and calculating leader who believes in crushing opponents both physically and psychologically, as seen when his team annihilates Zeus with a score of 36-0 and when his signature shot, Death Spear, injures multiple Raimon players.

Baddap's role in the story is that of the primary antagonist leading Operation Thunderbreak, a mission to travel back in time to eliminate soccer by destroying the Raimon team and demoralizing its founder, Endou Mamoru. As the captain, he selects Eskaba and Mistrene as his key advisors based on their strategic and physical strengths. His motivations are rooted in his duty as a soldier and his programmed hatred for the sport. The key turning point for his character comes during the final match against Raimon. After hearing Endou Mamoru's declaration about the courage to play rather than fight, Baddap experiences a flashback of joyfully playing soccer with friends in his youth. This revelation triggers a profound change, and he thanks Endou, revealing his inherent goodness and rediscovered love for the game. He attempts a handshake, but is abruptly recalled to his own time, instead striking his chest twice to convey his understanding and newfound commitment to fair play.

In Inazuma Eleven: Chōjigen Dream Match, Baddap appears as a member of the Inazuma Battle Eleven, a team composed of former rivals and antagonists. In this friendly match against the Inazuma Best Eleven, he plays as a forward and combines with Bai Long to perform the cooperative hissatsu technique Emperor Penguin No. 2, though the shot is ultimately stopped by Endou Mamoru's God Hand.

Key relationships include his antagonistic yet respectful dynamic with Endou Mamoru, who ultimately inspires his redemption. He also shares a deep bond with his Ogre teammates, Eskaba and Mistrene, whom he personally selected and trained for their mission. His development across the film transforms him from a cold, programmed soldier into a person who secretly cherishes soccer, abandoning his original mission to eradicate the sport.

As a player, Baddap is an offensive powerhouse. His most notable abilities include his solo shooting technique Death Spear, which envelops the ball in dark energy to form a spear, and the cooperative shot Death Break, performed with Eskaba and Mistrene. In later video game titles such as Inazuma Eleven GO and Chrono Stone, he can access warrior spirits like Black Queen and Lord Pendragon, while in Galaxy he has access to totems including the Lion. His stats consistently emphasize high kicking power and leadership-oriented Freedom attributes, reflecting his role as a dominant striker and captain.
