Description
Izuna is a small, fox-like or ferret-like yōkai spirit who appears in the anime Ushio & Tora. He has a fluffy green or greenish appearance with sharp eyes and a tail that resembles a flame. While small in stature, he is a courageous and loyal character who becomes a valuable ally to the protagonist, Ushio Aotsuki.
Izuna is dispatched by the Osa of Tono, a figure of authority in the youkai world, to assist Ushio in a particularly dangerous mission. The mission involves purging the Hiyou, a group of malevolent demons, from the body of a character named Moritsuna Satoru. He is specifically chosen for his unique skills, as journeying inside a living body requires a specialist.
