Jay Hickman is an American voice actor recognized for his extensive work in English-language dubs of Japanese anime series. Born on May 23, 1973, his career began in the mid-1990s and has spanned several decades, during which he has become a prominent figure in the industry, particularly known for his associations with ADV Films, Sentai Filmworks, and Funimation.

Hickman's early work included a wide range of roles in numerous series produced during the boom of anime licensing in the early 2000s. He provided voices for characters in a variety of genres, from the comedic Toru Watanabe in Excel Saga to the mysterious Itsuki Kisaragi in RahXephon. He quickly gained recognition among anime enthusiasts for his versatility, taking on roles as diverse as the identity-challenged robot Shinichi Mechazawa in Cromartie High School and the emotionally complex Prince Mythos in Princess Tutu.
