TV-Series
Description
Koorogi is a supporting character in the anime Dimension W. He works as a computer expert and engineer for Mary, an information broker who runs a recovery shop for Collectors. According to supplementary material, he was born in Vietnam and was academically gifted enough to skip several grades and attend university, but he chose to become Mary's technician instead. Little else is known about his early life. Koorogi is highly intelligent and technically brilliant, and he is well aware of his own abilities. He can be socially awkward and eccentric, with a deep fascination for advanced technology. He is particularly intrigued by the android Mira's unique construction and often tries to study her, much to her discomfort. His personality sometimes puts him at odds with others, but his loyalty to Mary and his commitment to providing technical support are consistent. Koorogi's primary role in the story is to serve as the team's technical expert and a source of exposition. He explains the physics of Dimension W and the inner workings of Coils, the devices that draw energy from that other dimension. He is capable of quickly reading and analyzing complex data, decrypting secure files, and upgrading or repairing equipment. Although he does not get along with the protagonist Kyouma Mabuchi, he still supplies Kyouma with information when asked, demonstrating a professional reliability that underpins his place in the group. His motivations are rooted in his passion for technology and his dedication to Mary rather than any personal stake in the larger conflict, and he remains a largely static character, steadfastly fulfilling the role of the brilliant but eccentric engineer throughout the series. His notable abilities include expertise in computer science, robotics, and Coil mechanics, making him an invaluable asset to the main cast.
