Airi Katagiri is a high school student who works part-time alongside Satoru Fujinuma at the Oasi Pizza delivery shop. She has waist-length brown hair, often worn in a ponytail, and brown or hazel eyes. Deeply passionate about photography, she dreams of turning that interest into a career. Airi has a resilient, optimistic, and remarkably loyal personality, with a strong sense of justice. A painful childhood experience shaped her deeply: her father was falsely accused of stealing a chocolate bar, and her mother did not believe him, leading to her parents’ divorce. This taught Airi the pain of being doubted, so she made a conscious decision to trust others unconditionally. When Satoru is framed for the murder of his mother, Airi is one of the few people who believes in his innocence without question. She provides him emotional support, lets him hide in her home, and helps him evade the authorities, putting her own safety at risk. The true antagonist attempts to silence her by setting her home on fire, but Satoru rescues her. After Satoru changes the past and awakens from a long coma, the two reunite under a bridge, suggesting their fates remain intertwined. Airi has no supernatural abilities; her strengths are her unwavering trust, bravery, and intuition.
