Description
Zara, known as Demon Hunter Little Red Riding Hood, is a character from the visual combat book series Queen’s Blade Grimoire, which takes place in a parallel universe separate from the main Queen’s Blade timeline. Her design and story are directly inspired by the classic European fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood, reimagined through a dark fantasy lens.
Zara is a demon hunter, a cool and beautiful huntress who is never seen without the demon wolf that accompanies her. This wolf is not an ordinary pet but the very same beast that once devoured both Zara and her grandmother. Surviving this ordeal, Zara was reborn as a fighter, having acquired a powerful magical ability inside the wolf’s stomach. She gained the power to regenerate her body even if it is torn apart or chewed up. Her appearance reflects her fairy tale origins, as she wears a red hood over a white blouse and a red skirt, but these are combined with more battle-ready gear such as a metal corset and a large metallic claw on her hand.
As a person, Zara is fundamentally good. Her tragic past is the driving force behind her choice to become a demon hunter. She is motivated by a deep desire to prevent others from suffering the same sorrowful circumstances that she endured, vowing that no more girls will fall prey to the darkness.
