TV-Series
Description
Mizuki Sera is a third-year student at Kirishina Science and Technology Academy High School and a member of A-TEC, the Advanced Technological Development Department, Educational Development Class. She serves as the class representative and works as an engineer specializing in engine maintenance. She is the younger sister of Kaito Sera, who is both her homeroom teacher and the chief of A-TEC. Mizuki lost her parents at a young age; both were engineers, and following their footsteps felt natural to her, just as it did for her older brother. She also runs the household she shares with Kaito, showing a strong sense of responsibility.

Personality-wise, Mizuki is friendly, generally positive, and empathetic. She is dedicated to her classmates and often puts the needs of others before her own. Despite the initial coldness from Nagisa Kiryu, the new chief of A-TEC who arrives with orders to dismantle the program, Mizuki makes a consistent effort to welcome him and treat him with kindness. She is reliable and level-headed, often serving as a stabilizing presence within the group. Her optimism and perseverance help maintain morale among the A-TEC members when the program faces threats of downsizing and budget cuts.

Mizuki’s primary motivation is to become a skilled engineer like her parents and brother, and to help preserve A-TEC so that the class can continue developing rocket engines. Her role in the story involves balancing her duties as a student, engineer, and class representative while navigating the corporate and educational conflicts that arise. She is deeply loyal to her friends and her brother, and she works hard to keep the team united.

Her key relationships include her best friend Iris Shirasaki, the A-TEC test pilot whom Mizuki encouraged to join the company. Mizuki frequently calls out Iris for reckless driving, showing a caring but sometimes exasperated dynamic. Her relationship with her brother Kaito is close, though she often apologizes for his hot-blooded nature. She also develops a connection with Nagisa Kiryu over the course of the series, gradually breaking through his cold exterior and showing him compassion, as seen during the graduation trip when she helps him complete his work after his devices break and later discovers scars on his back.

In terms of development, Mizuki grows more confident in her abilities and takes on greater initiative when situations demand it. She learns to stand firm in her convictions while remaining supportive of her classmates. Her technical skills in engine maintenance are notable, and she demonstrates resourcefulness and quick thinking in high-pressure moments. While she does not possess any special combat abilities, her engineering expertise and interpersonal warmth make her an indispensable part of A-TEC.
