He is an extra-standard individual possessing seven ninja souls, a collective entity referred to as the Demolition Ninja. This unusual state was achieved through a process called the Yokubari Plan, devised by Dr. Lee Araki, which allowed him to house multiple ninja souls within himself, beginning with the soul known as Buke Ninja.
