TV-Series
Description
Nasuno Takamiya is a second-year student at Kameido High School and a member of the school’s tennis club. She comes from an extraordinarily wealthy family, a fact that heavily defines her role in the series. Her background includes frequent travel abroad, such as a stay in Ngaoundéré, Cameroon, and she returns to Japan with the desire to join the tennis club, despite having no prior knowledge of the sport. Her motivation for joining is based on the notion that rich people play tennis, reflecting her tendency to act on whims rather than logic.

Personality-wise, Nasuno is cheerful, curious, and outwardly friendly, but her thinking operates outside the bounds of ordinary common sense. She makes decisions based on what she finds interesting or amusing, and her enormous financial resources allow her to act on these impulses without hesitation. This often results in absurd or extravagant schemes that push the story far beyond everyday reality. She can appear condescending at times, particularly toward Marimo Bando, whom she dismisses as foolish, yet she also seems to trust Yuri Oshimoto, the club’s only relatively normal member.

Within the narrative, Nasuno functions as a catalyst for chaos and escalation. Her wealth enables her to purchase lavish equipment, fund impromptu trips, or propose outlandish solutions to mundane problems. She does not, however, freely hand out money on request; she is selective about when to spend and often refuses others’ demands, though she readily spends large sums on her own ideas. Among the tennis club members, she is one of the more serious players in terms of actually attempting to play tennis, which contrasts with the group’s general lack of focus on the sport.

Her key relationships are defined by the contrast between her eccentricity and the reactions of her peers. Yuri Oshimoto, as the most sensible member, frequently finds herself baffled by Nasuno’s antics, creating a classic comedy dynamic. Kanae Shinjo, a classmate, matches Nasuno’s free-spirited nature, and together they amplify the absurdity of situations. Marimo Bando serves as a more relaxed counterpart who absorbs Nasuno’s unpredictable behavior without much resistance, maintaining a balance within the group.

In terms of development, Nasuno remains a largely static character. She does not undergo significant personal growth, as her role is primarily to inject unpredictability and scale into the comedy. Her most notable ability is her unchecked financial power, which she wields to reshape settings, fund bizarre ventures, and generate humor through the contrast between her world of privilege and the ordinary high school environment. Physically, she is portrayed with golden curly hair, a tall and elegant appearance, and often wears a refined school uniform, all of which reinforce her wealthy and aristocratic image. Her actions and dialogue consistently drive the series’ fast-paced, high-energy gag comedy.
