Kyōko Narumi
Description
Kyōko Narumi was a Japanese voice actress and singer from Tokyo, born on March 13, 1986. Before entering the entertainment industry, she worked in cosmetics sales after graduating from high school. Her career path changed when she was scouted by the president of the entertainment agency Earth Star Entertainment, leading her to enroll in the Shoto Actors Gymnasium to train as a performer. She made her debut as a voice actress in 2011 with a role in the NHK educational anime Hanakappa.
Narumi became widely recognized for her role as Nasuno Takamiya in the long-running short-form anime series Teekyu, a part she played across multiple seasons and in related spin-offs. This character was her first major regular role and became strongly associated with her career. She also voiced the role of Misaki Toyoda in the wrestling anime Wanna Be the Strongest in the World! and served as the narrator for the anime series Ketsuekigata-kun! (also known as Blood Type-kun!). Her other anime credits included roles in productions such as Pupa, Encouragement of Climb, and ReLIFE.
In addition to voice acting, Narumi was also active as a singer, releasing singles under the Earth Star Entertainment record label from 2013 to 2016. She performed theme songs related to some of the anime she was involved with. Her career was closely tied to Earth Star Entertainment for several years, but she left the agency at the end of March 2016 and continued working as a freelancer. Her professional activity gradually decreased after this point, and it was publicly indicated in late 2020 that she had retired from the voice acting industry.
