Kazuya Miyuki is a student at Seidou High School and serves as the regular catcher and captain of its renowned baseball team. Miyuki was scouted by Takashima Rei for Seidou while he was still in his first year of junior high, already recognized as a nationally known genius catcher. During his junior high years, he played in the same senior league as Narumiya Mei, the future star pitcher of Inashiro Industrial. Following a game where he solidly hit Mei's pitches, he received an invitation to join Inashiro, but he declined, stating it would be more interesting to challenge strong opponents rather than join them.
