Description
Minazuki Rokumatsuri, often called Mina, is a young middle school student who serves as a supporting character in the Happy Lesson series. She is the adopted younger sister of the main protagonist, Chitose Hitotose, and grew up alongside him and her older sister Hazuki in the same orphanage or care facility. Mina and Hazuki live together in an apartment not far from Chitose’s house, though Hazuki is frequently away on tour. Mina attends the middle school division of the same campus where Chitose goes to high school, so she is often nearby.

Mina is characterized by her sweet, caring, and affectionate nature. She genuinely loves Chitose as a brother and is always willing to help him with everyday tasks or moral support. Her devotion extends to a childhood dream of marrying Chitose when she grows up, which she states openly and pursues with sincere earnestness. Despite her young age, she takes on a supportive and sometimes protective role within the household, trying to keep Chitose grounded amid the chaos caused by the five live-in teachers.

Initially, Mina is wary of the teachers who move in to act as mother figures for Chitose, fearing they might take her “big brother” away from her. Over time, however, she warms to them and becomes a cheerful and reassuring presence, often serving as the family’s mascot. Her primary motivation is to maintain a close bond with Chitose and to see him happy, even as she navigates her own feelings and the unusual living arrangement.

Mina’s key relationships are with Chitose, whom she idolizes, and her sister Hazuki, with whom she shares a sibling bond. She interacts with the five teachers as well, gradually moving from suspicion to acceptance. Her role in the story is that of a devoted younger sister who adds a layer of youthful innocence and comic relief, while also grounding Chitose’s emotional side.

In terms of development, Mina’s initial jealousy and possessiveness toward Chitose soften as she finds her place in the expanded household. She becomes more comfortable with the teachers and adapts to the unconventional family dynamic, growing into a more confident and sociable young girl. She has no particular supernatural or combat abilities; her notable traits are her emotional warmth, her unwavering loyalty, and her persistent hope for a future with Chitose.
