Miren Aranburu

Miren Aranburu is a Spanish actress and singer from Lazkao, in the province of Gipuzkoa, who is known for her work in dubbing for animated series. Her career began in the 1970s as a singer within the Basque Country's new song movement, and she later became a pioneer of jazz singing in the Basque language. Alongside her music career, she has worked extensively as an actress and voice actress, including a role as a dubbing director for the company Irusoin and appearing in the long-running Basque television series Goenkale.

In the field of anime voice acting, Aranburu is recognized for her contributions to Spanish and Basque language dubs of several popular series. A significant portion of her anime voice work is for the Happy Lesson franchise, produced for the Spanish dub. She voiced the characters Minazuki Rokumatsuri and Mutsuki Ichimonji in the original Happy Lesson OVA, the Happy Lesson television series, the sequel series Happy Lesson Advanced, and the final OVA series, Happy Lesson The Final.

Beyond the Happy Lesson series, her other notable anime dubbing credits include providing the Basque voices for the characters Apis and Kaya in One Piece, the character Nurse Joy in Pokémon, and Masao Sato in the Basque dub of Shin Chan. She also performed theme songs for various anime dubs, including the Spanish version of The Adventures of Pinocchio and the Basque dub of Heidi, Girl of the Alps.
