Suzume Kagajō is a second-year middle school student serving as number 32 in the Sentinels' defensive squad. Timid and squeamish, she often expresses fear during confrontations and heavily relies on Kusunoki Mebuki for protection, repeatedly claiming she "will die" without Mebuki's aid due to her lack of confidence and self-perception as the weakest Sentinel.

She has fair skin and dark brown hair slightly parted in the middle, with two shoulder-length strands. Her standard outfit consists of a blackish sweater over a white shirt featuring green and white accents, a red tie, a white skirt, green knee socks, and outdoor school shoes. For combat, she wears a greenish-hued armored dress engineered to endure the World of Flames.

Suzume wields a massive shield as part of her defensive role. Though initially reluctant, she displays latent courage when critically needed, such as defending Mebuki from an invading incomplete Vertex and Stardust near chapter 4—a pivotal moment where she rallies her confidence to act protectively. Her Mankai form manifests a giant robot accompanied by three smaller robots and gemlike orbs on her right arm. A gauntlet enables telepathic control of these robots through ground-impact movements.

Suzume deeply respects Mebuki, seeking her attention and occasionally showing jealousy when Mebuki interacts with Kokudo Aya. She initially feared the Sanshu Middle School Hero Club as unapproachable legendary warriors but was surprised during a "reconnaissance" mission by their normal behavior and kindness. They treated her warmly during their encounter. Her development progresses from fearful dependence to decisive action in crises, though her core vulnerability remains integral to her character.
