Description
Feldrance is an android character who appears as a primary antagonist in the anime series Mahoromatic: Something More Beautiful. He takes the form of a youth with long, waist-length blonde hair and yellow eyes, giving him an appearance that contrasts his true nature. Created by the neuroscientist Professor Mephlis, Feldrance is characterized as a cold-hearted and cruel being who serves under his maker during a scheme to capture the android Mahoro.

Despite his position as Mephlis's creation and subordinate, Feldrance harbors his own secret agenda. He is actually working for the higher-ups of the organization known as the Management, tasked with collecting the combat data that Mephlis has gathered on Mahoro. This dual allegiance defines his role in the story as a treacherous agent who ultimately betrays his creator. When Mephlis's plans to take Mahoro for himself fail, Feldrance makes his move, killing the scientist without a trace of remorse and stealing the collected data as his creator's laboratory explodes around them. He coldly rationalizes this betrayal by pointing out that Mephlis himself is responsible for making Feldrance the way he is.

His personality is defined by this emptiness and cruelty. He feels no loyalty or emotional attachment, viewing others only as tools or obstacles. His motivations center on fulfilling his mission for the Management and acquiring the valuable data on Mahoro, an android he sees as a key asset. In the anime's climax, Feldrance engages in a decisive duel with Mahoro. This confrontation ends with Mahoro choosing to self-destruct, setting her lifespan to end in an explosion that takes both her and Feldrance with it.

The manga version of the story presents a different fate for Feldrance. In that continuity, he commits brutal acts such as cutting off the hands of Suguru, the series protagonist, while capturing Mahoro. His plans are interrupted by the characters Slash and Ryuuga. Later, in the epilogue set on Mars, Feldrance serves as one of the final defensive lines for the Management. He encounters an older Suguru, who has come seeking vengeance, and is killed by him. In his final moments, Feldrance asks his killer if the quest for revenge has brought him satisfaction, suggesting a faint glimmer of awareness regarding the hollow nature of violence.

Regarding his abilities, as an android created by a prominent scientist of the Management, Feldrance is designed for combat. While specific technical specifications are not detailed, his role as an operative and his direct confrontations with powerful characters like Mahoro indicate he possesses significant combat capabilities, including superhuman strength, durability, and likely integrated weapon systems typical of androids in the series. His notable abilities are primarily demonstrated in his willingness to engage in lethal combat and his effectiveness as an agent capable of assassinating his own creator without difficulty.
