Description
Tamako Doi emerges from the "Nogi Wakaba is a Hero" narrative as a first-generation Hero, aged 14 during its core events—11 in 2015 and 15 by 2019. Hailing from Ehime Prefecture, she shares this regional origin with teammate Anzu Iyojima, though they met only after Vertex assaults commenced.
Her short brown hair features two shoulder-length bangs and twin small buns fastened by orange-and-black hair ties. She dons a modified school uniform: an orange-and-black jacket layered over a white shirt with a violet bow, paired with a navy blue skirt. Transforming into her Hero form, her attire shifts to an orange, black, and white suit with coattails, gloves, and ribbons shaped like blossoms adorning her buns.
Energetic and emotionally volatile, Tamako laughs frequently yet angers swiftly, often referring to herself in the third person. She revels in outdoor activities and crafts puns derived from her name ("Tamako"). Fiercely protective, especially toward Anzu—whom she treats as a younger sibling—she demonstrates this bond through actions like desperately shielding Anzu in combat.
In battle, she wields the retractable six-bladed shield Kamuyatatehime, maneuvering it like a yo-yo for throws or slashing as a melee weapon. Her enhanced ability, Wanyuudou, enlarges the shield for defense or transport and projects fire when activated, temporarily altering her outfit to a kimono style with a gold neck ring and chest ribbons.
Tamako’s story concludes tragically when she and Anzu sustain fatal wounds confronting a Vertex. In their final moments, she clasps Anzu’s hand, reinforcing their connection.
Within the comedic spin-off "Churutto!", Tamako appears among 27 Heroes summoned across timelines to Sanshu Middle School. Her restless vigilance unsettles peers during the Hero Club’s "Hero Club Udon" project, occasionally requiring restraint for her mischief. Interactions remain lighthearted, distinct from her original arc—such as relaxing in a hot spring with Nogi Wakaba while whimsically discussing udon preparation.
