Cereza, also known as Cherry, is one of the three Saber Marionettes who serve as the primary companions to the young noble Junior in the OVA series Saber Marionette R. In this continuity, which is set in the future of the larger Saber Marionette universe, Cereza is a marionette, a sophisticated gynoid, who possesses a Virgin Circuit, a special device that grants her genuine human emotions and a sense of self. Unlike the character of the same name from the later Saber Marionette J series, this Cereza has the physical appearance of a young girl, commonly depicted wearing a pink dress. She is one of three such marionettes belonging to Junior, alongside the more impulsive Lima and the mature Zarzamora, and together they are opposed by Junior's treacherous brother, Mascara, and his powerful Sexadolls.

In terms of personality, Cereza is characterized by her high intelligence and sharp-witted nature. She is deeply devoted to Junior and frequently displays a romantic and possessive side, becoming easily jealous of the attention he gives to Lima and Zarzamora. Compared to the physically powerful Zarzamora, Cereza is noted for her intelligence and is less frequently seen in direct battles, suggesting her strengths lie more in strategy, support, or other non-combative skills typical of a Saber Marionette.
