Elsa Covián is a Mexican actress and director of dubbing with over 35 years of experience in the industry. Born on May 27, 1964, she began her career in dubbing in 1987. She is also a literary editor and an instructor who trains new talent in the art of voice acting.

Covián has lent her voice to a wide array of characters in anime and animated series. Among her notable roles in anime are Hamtaro in the series of the same name, Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop, and Corrector Rescue in Corrector Yui. She is also recognized for her work in the Supercampeones franchise (known as Captain Tsubasa in other regions), where she voiced the characters Oliver Atom as a child and Patty. In the Hello Kitty franchise, she provided the voice for Mimmy in Hello Kitty's Paradise. She also voiced the character Conan Edogawa in the film Lupin III vs. Detective Conan: The Movie, as well as in movies 18 and 22 of the Detective Conan series. Beyond the roles listed by the user, her extensive work in animation includes being the voice of Littlefoot in The Land Before Time franchise, Pablo in The Backyardigans, Pepper Ann in Pepper Ann, Pippi Longstocking in the animated series of the same name, and Rarity in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

In addition to animation, Covián is well-known for being the regular Spanish voice for actresses such as Winona Ryder, Anna Faris (notably as Cindy Campbell in the Scary Movie film series), Heather Matarazzo (in The Princess Diaries films), and Miranda Cosgrove (as Megan Parker in Drake & Josh). She also voiced the character Louise in the Mexican Spanish dubbing of the film 8 Women.

Beyond performing, Elsa Covián has also taken on roles in dubbing direction, having directed the Mexican Spanish dub for the film 8 Women. She was previously married to fellow dubbing actor and director Eduardo Tejedo.
