Description
Kimihiko Kimizuka, an 18-year-old high school student, is cursed as a perpetual "trouble magnet," his life a vortex of danger that drags him into crimes, underworld schemes, and police interrogations. His fate shifted irrevocably during a junior-year plane hijacking when he crossed paths with Siesta, a self-styled legendary detective. Coerced into transporting a mysterious suitcase, he unwillingly became her assistant, plunging into a three-year globe-spanning crusade against SPES—a clandestine organization deploying pseudohumans to unravel global stability.

After Siesta’s death, Kimihiko sought normalcy, but the past clawed back when Nagisa Natsunagi, a girl bearing Siesta’s transplanted heart, sought him out. Bound by this eerie connection, they reignited battles against SPES remnants and adversaries like Hel, a ruthless leader within the group. Nagisa’s fiery temperament starkly contrasts Siesta’s composed brilliance, forging a partnership charged with emotional friction and resolve.

Tall and lean with short black hair (brown in anime adaptations), amber eyes, and a signature black suit, Kimihiko wields intellect over brawn. Though lacking combat skills, his strategic mind, sharpened by Siesta’s mentorship, compensates with analytical precision to dismantle threats preemptively. His nickname "Kimi," born from his alliterative name, reflects reluctant camaraderie he once resisted.

Evolving from a reluctant sidekick to a self-reliant strategist, Kimihiko now navigates cases alongside allies like Charlotte Arisaka Anderson, an ex-assassin seeking redemption, and Yui Saikawa, an idol ensnared in supernatural peril. Mundane struggles—culinary disasters, awkward interactions with women—underscore his humanity, yet never eclipse his relentless drive to neutralize crises.

Central to his journey is reconciling Siesta’s legacy through Nagisa while combating SPES-linked foes: Chameleon’s deceptions, Seed’s schemes, and Hel’s manipulation of Alicia, an amnesiac with fractured identities. Despite yearning for peace, Kimihiko remains pivotal in thwarting apocalyptic plots, anchored by duty, bonds, and the indelible mark of his detective mentor.
