Austin Tindle is an American voice actor known for his extensive work in English dubs of anime series and video games, primarily for studios such as Crunchyroll (formerly Funimation) and Sentai Filmworks. He has built a prolific career, voicing a wide range of characters from troubled protagonists to cunning antagonists.

Tindle was raised in Austin, Texas, and attended the University of Texas at Dallas on an academic scholarship. Initially an electrical engineering major, he changed his focus to theater and acting after being cast as Romeo in a university production during his sophomore year. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Performance in 2007. Following his education, he spent nearly a decade performing in the Dallas theater scene, including a long tenure with Shakespeare Dallas, before transitioning into voice acting.

His entry into voice acting began around 2009 with minor roles, such as Alzack Connell in Fairy Tail. He gained wider recognition in the early 2010s with lead roles in series like Guilty Crown as Shu Ouma and Is This a Zombie? as Ayumu Aikawa. Tindle's breakthrough role came in 2014 when he was cast as Ken Kaneki in the English dub of Tokyo Ghoul. His performance, which spanned multiple seasons including Tokyo Ghoul:re, captured the character's complex psychological journey and became a defining role in his career.

Tindle is frequently cast in roles that require emotional depth or a sharp wit. He voices the fan-favorite character Yu Ishigami in the romantic comedy Kaguya-sama: Love is War and portrays the mischievous and strategic student Karma Akabane in Assassination Classroom. He is also the English voice of the powerful and iconic esper Accelerator across multiple installments of the A Certain Magical Index franchise, including its spin-off, A Certain Scientific Accelerator. Other major credits include Marco Bodt in Attack on Titan, Obi in Snow White with the Red Hair, Tsukasa Yugi in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, Neito Monoma in My Hero Academia, Ryo Hazuki in Shenmue the Animation, Natsuo Fujii in Domestic Girlfriend, Gabiru in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and Desir Herrman in A Returner's Magic Should Be Special.

Beyond acting, Tindle has taken on production roles, serving as an ADR director for the series The Detective Is Already Dead in 2021. His work has been recognized with industry nominations, including a nomination for Best Voice Artist Performance (English) at the 8th Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2024 for his role as Millions Knives in Trigun Stampede. He continues to be an active and prominent figure in the English dubbing industry.
