Description
Kiyoshi Fujino is a tall, handsome young man with dark blue hair and black eyes. He appears lean at the start of his time at school, but his physique becomes more muscular following his extended periods of incarceration within the academy's prison block. As a first-year student, he is one of only a handful of boys enrolled at Hachimitsu Academy, which has a long history as an all-girls institution.

In terms of personality, Kiyoshi is distinguished as the most level-headed and rational member of the male student group. Unlike his peers who are often overtaken by their baser instincts, he demonstrates a strong resolve under pressure and tends to think clearly in high-stakes situations. While certainly tenacious, he initially lacks the stubborn, overt perversion that defines the other boys, and he often acts as the narrator of the story through his internal thoughts. Despite this relative normalcy, he is capable of shocking his friends with unexpected actions, such as when he devises a plan to cross-dress in order to escape from prison. He can also be surprisingly selfish, occasionally acting on his own desires at the expense of others, though he may be oblivious to this tendency.

The primary driver of Kiyoshi’s motivations is his deep romantic interest in his classmate, Chiyo Kurihara. He develops a strong infatuation with her after she initiates a conversation with him about sumo wrestling, a topic Kiyoshi himself has no genuine interest in but feigns passion for to get closer to her. Most of his actions throughout the story are in service of this relationship, from engineering dangerous prison breaks to keep a promise to watch a sumo match with her, to sacrificing his first kiss and going to extreme lengths to avoid expulsion so he can remain at the same school.

Within the story, Kiyoshi serves as the protagonist and the central figure around whom the main conflict revolves. His role is often that of the strategist and the reluctant hero who must take charge when the group faces dire consequences. His initial imprisonment, along with the other four boys, for attempting to peep on the girls' bath sets the entire plot in motion. Later, as the schemes of the Underground Student Council intensify, he plays a pivotal role in exposing their conspiracy to expel the male students, known as Operation DTO. He later becomes a key ally to the imprisoned former student council president, Mari Kurihara, helping her plot against the new, more deceptive council.

Kiyoshi's key relationships are complex and define much of his development. His bond with Chiyo Kurihara is his primary focus, and he works tirelessly to maintain her good opinion of him. This relationship is tested repeatedly, particularly when Chiyo discovers his deceitful actions, but her belief in his essential goodness often helps him recover from despair. Another pivotal and volatile relationship is with Hana Midorikawa, a member of the Underground Student Council. Their connection begins after a series of accidental voyeuristic incidents, which traumatizes Hana and sparks a prolonged cycle of humiliation and revenge between them. This dynamic evolves into an intense, obsessive, and physically charged relationship that complicates Kiyoshi’s feelings for Chiyo and ultimately leads to his downfall. His relationship with the boys, particularly Gakuto, is also central, as they form a deep camaraderie born of shared suffering and absurd escape attempts, though Kiyoshi is often the one who must keep their more ridiculous perversions in check.

Throughout the series, Kiyoshi undergoes notable development. He begins as a relatively normal boy trying to navigate a surreal situation but is gradually drawn into the increasingly extreme and perverted schemes of those around him. While he often tries to maintain his innocence, he becomes complicit in more and more compromising acts, including a long-running feud with Hana that involves public nudity and other humiliations. By the story's conclusion, despite successfully confessing his feelings to Chiyo and becoming her boyfriend, his suppressed but deep-seated perverted connection with Hana is exposed, leading to the collapse of his ideal relationship and a return to the prison he tried so hard to escape.

Kiyoshi possesses several notable abilities that set him apart. His primary strength is his strategic thinking and ability to devise successful plans under extreme pressure and when his back is against the wall. He also demonstrates remarkable physical resilience and perseverance, enduring brutal punishments and long periods of imprisonment without breaking. Furthermore, his ability to suppress his immediate desires for the sake of a long-term goal, a trait the other boys singularly lack, allows him to act as the group's leader and voice of reason in critical moments.
