Description
Mitsuo Suga is Minare Koda's ex-boyfriend. He possesses brown hair and brown eyes, frequently dressed in a red v-neck sweater and beige pants. His personality is manipulative and irresponsible, defined as a "manipulative bastard" who habitually dates women to extract money before ending relationships. He is further characterized as a "manchild," exploiting women's maternal instincts for financial support and care.

During his relationship with Minare, Mitsuo falsely claimed his family required financial help, convincing her to lend him 500,000 yen. He vanished with the money after receiving it, never repaying her. Following their breakup, he dated another woman, continuing his deceptive patterns. This led her to attempt murder in retaliation for his lies; she tied him up and prepared to kill him with a kitchen knife.

Mitsuo's life was inadvertently saved by Minare. Her radio broadcast—a fictional monologue about murdering a boyfriend—distracted his assailant. Hearing the broadcast, the woman abandoned her plan and fled, only to be struck by a car. This event prompted Mitsuo to contact Minare again. He returned 250,000 yen, promised to repay the remainder, and credited her with saving his life.

During their reunion, Mitsuo admitted to cheating on Minare while they dated, downplaying the affair by claiming the other woman "deluded herself" into believing they were in a relationship. He further confessed he spent the 500,000 yen taken from Minare at the Sapporo race tracks, not on family needs as originally claimed. Minare discovered evidence of his ongoing manipulation: a discarded cheap recipe book containing a bell pepper seed, indicating he manipulated other women into cooking for him and likely providing money. When questioned about the source of the returned 250,000 yen, Mitsuo vaguely attributed it to an "oil company executive," which Minare interpreted as another instance of swindling.

The encounter concluded with Minare physically overpowering Mitsuo and slamming him to the ground before leaving. His name carries symbolic meanings: "Mitsuo" combines the characters for "light" (光) and "hero, manly" (雄), while his surname "Suga" means "ought, by all means" (須) and "congratulations, joy" (賀).
