Description
Kuroyasha Dōki is the central antagonist of Karasu Tengu Kabuto, an evil god known as the Black Night Demon. His origins lie in a primordial darkness; he is an ancient force of destruction who was once imprisoned in hell. Escaping that prison, he returns to the mortal realm with a powerful grudge against the bloodline of the hero Kabuto, setting the entire conflict in motion.

His core motivation is twofold. He seeks vengeance on Kabuto's lineage, and he harbors an overarching ambition to conquer the Earth and reshape it into a demon world. To achieve this, he must first eliminate Kabuto and the four holy ninja warriors — Genbu, Suzaku, Seiryu, and Byakko — who stand against him. Dōki commands a legion of dark servants, most notably the Junin-shu, or Top Ten Warriors, who act as his elite enforcers. He also operates from a mobile fortress called the Devil Face Castle, a flying stronghold that allows him to project power across the land.

As a character, Dōki is presented as an embodiment of unrelenting evil. His presence is that of a calculating and merciless deity of darkness who views the world as a prize to be subjugated. He possesses a sharp, cunning intellect and a deeply vindictive nature, driven by both his ancient hatred for the Karasu Tengu bloodline and a ceaseless desire for domination. He rarely shows nuance beyond his role as a malignant force, yet his sheer persistence and the eternal cycle of conflict he represents grant him a mythic weight in the narrative.

In terms of abilities, Dōki is a master of lethal dark magic, capable of spells that are nearly inescapable, and his swordsmanship is described as supremely skillful. His signature weapon is a sword called the Beast of the Womanly Motto. Combined with his flying fortress and his ability to resurrect or unleash demonic forces, he presents a constant, overwhelming threat that spans generations in the manga and consumes the entirety of the anime's storyline, where the battle is condensed into a single decisive era.
