Description
Agwel is a minor antagonist from the original Devilman manga, serving as an early threat for the protagonist Akira Fudo. This demon is summoned by the powerful avian demon Sirene, who dispatches him alongside another demon named Ghelmer to attack the Makimura family in their home. In the context of the story, Agwel acts as a subordinate enforcer, sent to eliminate Devilman’s loved ones and draw him out.
Physically, Agwel is described as a small, slime-like creature with a grotesque and amorphous form. His body is a translucent, blob-like mass that constantly melts and morphs according to his will. During this second assault, Akira, mid-transformation into Devilman, wraps his own antennae around Agwel’s neck and decapitates him, killing the demon.
