Description
Conrad Carter, known as the Teknoman Warlord Darkon, is the primary antagonist and the older brother of the protagonist, Blade. He was a member of the Carter family who, along with the rest of his relatives and crew, was captured aboard the space ship Argos. While other members of the family were transformed into standard Teknomen soldiers, Conrad was specifically turned into the powerful Teknoman Warlord tasked with commanding the Venomoid invasion of Earth.

One of the most defining physical aspects of Conrad as Darkon is his tragic inability to reclaim any form of human likeness. Unlike other Teknomen who can sometimes appear human, Darkon is permanently bound to the Venomoid base located on the dark side of the Moon. He is tethered to this structure by several cables that sustain his life and amplify his power, making him a stationary but immensely formidable commander. In keeping with his role as the invasion's leader, his personality is characterized by utter ruthlessness. He is depicted as a merciless warlord who is completely dedicated to his mission, which is to enslave the population of Earth by transforming them into inhuman mutants loyal to his cause.

His primary motivation stems from his complete transformation and indoctrination by the Venomoids. As the commander, he is determined to seed the planet with alien spores that grow into Teknopods, devices designed to turn all of humanity into Tekno-beings under his command. He controls a massive army of biomechanical Spider-Crab units and other Teknomen, directing their assaults to decimate Earth's military forces and clear the way for full planetary conversion.

Within the story, Darkon serves as the ultimate target of Blade's quest for vengeance. The narrative revolves around Blade, a renegade Teknoman who has escaped Venomoid control, fighting to protect Earth while confronting his brainwashed family members. Darkon is the most significant of these enemies, representing the brother Blade lost and the central pillar of the invasion force he must destroy. His role extends beyond a simple antagonist; he is the strategic mastermind orchestrating the overall assault on humanity.

Key relationships define his character and the story's drama. His most important relationship is with Blade, his younger brother, making their conflict a deeply personal family tragedy. Darkon also has a significant connection to another Teknoman, Sword, who was originally his fiancee, Kathryn Thomas. Because of the love she held for him before their transformation, Sword becomes his most obedient and trusted subordinate. He also commands other transformed family members and friends, including Sabre (Blade's twin brother) and Axe (Blade's former martial arts instructor), forcing Blade to battle his own kin.

Conrad's development is marked by a progressive loss of his original humanity. Unlike some characters who struggle with their condition, he fully embraces his role as Darkon. His physical transformation concludes with him merging with the Venomoid base itself in the final episode, becoming a gigantic, monstrous Teknoman. In this final state, the only remaining part of his original human form is his head, which is lodged grotesquely in the center of the creature's chest, visually symbolizing the complete subjugation of his former self to the alien cause.

As a Teknoman Warlord, his notable abilities are immense. He is significantly more powerful than standard Teknomen, a status reflected in his alternate title of Teknoman Omega. Being physically linked to the lunar base grants him sustained life and amplified power, making him virtually inseparable from his command center and a threat that cannot be confronted on a standard battlefield. His ultimate form, achieved when merging with the base, transforms him into a colossal biomechanical entity of devastating power, representing the final evolution of a Teknoman fully integrated with the Venomoid collective.
