Chase Suno, known as the main protagonist of the Monsuno series, is a fifteen-year-old boy whose life is defined by the mysterious disappearance of his father, the legendary scientist Jeredy Suno. Before vanishing, Jeredy left his son a special gift, which turned out to be the first Monsuno he ever reanimated, alongside the means to control it. This event serves as the catalyst for Chase's journey, sending him on a mission to master his abilities as a Monsuno Controller, build a team of like-minded individuals known as Adepts, and ultimately find his missing father.

Chase is characterized by an abundance of confidence and charisma, coupled with an inherently heroic and clever nature. He is portrayed as a natural-born leader who genuinely cares for his friends, family, and Monsuno partners, often refusing to put others in harm's way on his behalf. Despite the serious responsibility of finding his father and saving the world, he remains an avid adventure seeker and adrenaline junkie who loves challenges. His personality is reflected in his physical appearance, which includes black hair, teal eyes, and a moderately athletic build. He is almost always seen wearing a distinctive blue hoodless jacket with a raised collar, white trims, and silver zippers, paired with a black v-neck shirt and brown denim pants.

In the story, Chase is the leader of the Core-Tech faction and actively opposes the forces of S.T.O.R.M., a secret government agency that seeks to weaponize Monsuno. While his primary motivation is to reunite with his father, he consistently rises to the challenge of being a hero, protecting others from those who exploit Monsuno for personal and political gain. A key element of his journey involves learning to coexist with his Monsuno and achieving a true partnership with them, a process that includes synchronizing, or syncing, with his creatures to unlock their full potential and prevent them from going wild.

His most significant relationship is with his primary Monsuno partner, Lock, a large, powerful creature with a hybrid design resembling a polar bear, gorilla, and tiger. Throughout his quest, Chase acquires several other Monsuno, including Evo, an aerial creature resembling a swan and eagle mix given to him by his father, as well as Nitestone, Babeon, and others. He is joined by his close friends and teammates, including Bren and Jinja, who help him form the Core-Tech team. His relationship with his father, Jeredy, is a driving force of the narrative, with the two eventually meeting again during the series. Chase also comes into contact with his mother, Sofia Suno, later in the storyline.

Throughout the series, Chase undergoes significant development as a Controller. Early on, he and Lock struggle with their connection, leading to incidents where Lock goes wild or even leaves Chase. A pivotal moment occurs in the episode Shadow, where Chase experiences the Shadow Effect, which turns Monsuno against their Controllers; by syncing with Lock, Chase manages to take control and reverse the effect. Later, in the episode Light, Chase faces his greatest test of will when Lock goes wild again. Despite the danger, Chase stays behind to face Lock alone and finally achieves a perfect sync with his partner, solidifying their bond and his growth as a hero.

As a notable ability, Chase is a skilled Monsuno Controller who uses a Strike Launcher to release his Monsuno from their cores by spinning them out into battle. His tactical intelligence and leadership allow him to effectively command his team in combat against various enemies, including S.T.O.R.M. Elites, the Darkspin gang, and the Desert Wolves. He is also capable of performing a powerful synchronization, or sync, with his Monsuno, an advanced technique that represents the pinnacle of a Controller's partnership with their creature.
