Gogyo Godai is a character from the anime B-Daman Fireblast. He is the father of Kamon Godai, Aona Godai, and Ryoma Godai. Kamon is the main protagonist of the series, but he is initially unaware of their relationship because he lost his memories after a past defeat by his brother, Ryoma. Gogyo chooses not to reveal that he is Kamon's father right away, instead waiting for the right moment when Kamon regains his lost memories.

His primary role in the story is to serve as a mentor and guide for Kamon, helping him to understand and fulfill his destiny with the legendary B-Daman known as Drive Garuburn. Gogyo is also the creator of the special Version-Up Parts that allow Garuburn to become more powerful. He involves himself in Kamon's life specifically to assist him on this path to becoming a top B-Daman battler, known as a B-Der.

Gogyo is married to Himiko Day, an archaeologist, and his family relationships form a core part of his character motivation. His full name is a reference to classic Japanese philosophical concepts of the five elements.
