Description
Marquis Albert de Blois is a high-ranking nobleman in the fictional kingdom of Sauville, holding the title of Marquis and serving as the head of the country's Ministry of the Occult. He is the biological father of both Victorique de Blois and Grevil de Blois. His background is rooted in the aristocracy, and he wields significant political influence, using his position to pursue his personal ambitions. Albert is a man deeply obsessed with the supernatural and the occult, driven by a desire to uncover unexplainable powers that he believes can propel Sauville into an era of progress and dominance. His personality is strict, cold, and calculating; he applies a rigid approach to all matters, whether related to his quest for power or his treatment of his children. He views Victorique not as a daughter but as a mere tool – a highly valuable asset whose extraordinary intellect is to be exploited in the ongoing struggle between the Ministry of the Occult and the rival Science Academy. This utilitarian mindset extends to his son Grevil, whom he orders to constantly monitor Victorique's movements and activities. Albert's primary motivation is the acquisition of supernatural power, which he seeks to use for political and military advancement. In the story, he serves as the main antagonist, directly responsible for Victorique's secluded and imprisoning upbringing within the tower of St. Marguerite Academy. As the narrative progresses, his machinations escalate: after engineering the collapse of the academy, he seizes control of the country and aligns with the Axis powers to participate in the approaching World War II. His key relationships are defined by manipulation and control; he is a distant and oppressive father to Victorique and Grevil, and a powerful enemy to the protagonists Victorique and Kazuya Kujō. Throughout the series, Albert undergoes no redemption or positive development, remaining a steadfast antagonist whose actions become increasingly extreme. His notable abilities include his political acumen, command of the Ministry of the Occult, and a deep knowledge of occult lore, which he uses to further his ambitions.
