Description
Kōta Ikejiri is a minor yet recurring character in the anime Fujilog. He is the twin brother of Kenta Ikejiri and the son of Reiko, who is the sister of the main protagonist, Osamu Fujiyama. As part of the extended Fujiyama family, Kōta lives in the same household alongside his mother, his twin, his grandmother Mitsuko, his great-grandfather Senkichi, and his uncle Osamu after Reiko moves back to the family home following a dispute with her husband.

Kōta and his brother Kenta are young, elementary school-aged boys. While the two twins are often seen together and share a mischievous streak, Kōta tends to be the slightly more reserved and quiet of the pair compared to the more outspoken Kenta. He frequently joins his brother in playfully mocking or looking down on their unemployed uncle Osamu, treating him as a source of entertainment. When they have free time, they often seek out Osamu to use him as a playmate, though their teasing is rooted in the casual, blunt honesty of children rather than genuine malice.

In terms of personality, Kōta demonstrates the straightforward, unsentimental perspective typical of a child his age. He is not outwardly cruel but is unafraid to state his opinions directly, especially regarding Osamu's lack of ambition or adult responsibilities. He mirrors his mother Reiko's attitude of looking down on her brother, but his behavior is less about personal disdain and more about childish mockery and boredom. Kōta’s motivations are simple: he seeks amusement and passes the time by interacting with the eccentric adults around him, particularly his uncle.

His role in the story is to contribute to the chaotic domestic comedy of the Fujiyama household. Along with Kenta, he represents the younger generation that further highlights Osamu’s arrested development and lack of direction. Kōta does not undergo significant personal development over the course of the series, as he functions primarily as a static supporting character whose interactions reinforce the established family dynamics. He has no notable supernatural abilities or special skills; his most prominent trait is his twin bond with Kenta and his shared tendency to belittle Osamu. Key relationships include his twin brother Kenta, with whom he is almost always paired, his mother Reiko, and his uncle Osamu, who serves as the primary target of his teasing.
