Description
Nyaa-tan, also known as Sykora, is the central character of Etotama. Her core goal is to become one of the twelve Chinese Zodiac members, a position traditionally excluding cats. This absence fuels her persistent efforts to carve out a unique role despite lacking predefined zodiac traits.

Previously, she actively supported the Zodiac members, especially maintaining a close bond with Chu-tan, the Rat Zodiac. During the first ETM 12 competition, Nyaa-tan withdrew voluntarily to assist Chu-tan from behind the scenes. Witnessing Chu-tan's distress under leadership burdens, Nyaa-tan sought to help her. She secretly mastered the forbidden Kagura Senguu technique, intending to heal Chu-tan's Etotama. Nyaa-tan then challenged Chu-tan to use the technique, but Chu-tan perceived this as betrayal. Chu-tan swiftly replicated the Kagura Senguu visually and used it against Nyaa-tan, shattering her Etotama.

Nyaa-tan survived but lost most memories. The other Zodiac Gods, unaware of the conflict specifics except for Shaa-tan, provided protection and support. Despite amnesia, her fundamental drive to join the Zodiac remained intact, demonstrating inherent resilience, though she forgot her original motivation.

Following recovery, Nyaa-tan resided as a freeloader with Takeru Amato, an independent high school student in Akihabara. Her daily life involved playful, sometimes idle behavior reflecting her feline nature. She exhibited a bright, cheerful, and kind disposition, often engaging in mischievous or whimsical antics. Nevertheless, she displayed shrewdness and unwavering determination toward her goal, habitually ending sentences with "Nya."

Her journey required collecting Sol/Lull Seals from the twelve incumbent Zodiac members. Sol/Lull is life-sustaining energy derived from human gratitude. She obtained her first seal from Mo-tan (Ox) in a Hide & Seek duel. Subsequent seals came from Usa-tan (Rabbit), Mei-tan (Sheep), Shima-tan (Horse), Kii-tan (Pig), Inu-tan (Dog), Shaa-tan (Snake), and Piyo-tan (Rooster) through various challenges and battles.

Physically, she has light brown hair, brown-goldish eyes, stands 152 cm tall, and weighs 41 kg. Her appearance includes both cat ears and human ears, plus a thin white tail. Notable accessories are a yellow hair ribbon, a golden bell collar, and a sentient star-shaped hairpiece named Hoshinoko. Her standard attire is a white shirt with a sailor-style blue necktie, a blue skirt with a large ribbon, blue and white wrist cuffs, brown shoes, and knee-length blue and white stockings adorned with flowers. Her battle form features a white cat-themed hat with green ears, white flower-patterned boots, and a thicker tail.

In combat, she uses specialized techniques. Her primary attack, Cat Gun, manifests as a destructive energy projectile shaped like a cat's paw. The Cat Machine Gun involves a spinning, energy-charged kick capable of shattering defenses. She learned and employed the Kagura Senguu, a ritual typically reserved for gods that can heal or obliterate an Etotama.

Beyond her quest, she enjoys curry and possesses an aptitude for Shogi, taught by Takeru, though she finds the game uninteresting. She is the sole Eto-Musume to participate in and win the Takamagahara Commemorative Maid Café Eto Manager's Cup race, usually limited to Eto-Shins. She also claims to be the first Eto to utilize the Kagura Senguu technique.

Her story continues in later media, including the ONA Etotama ~Nyan-Kyaku Banrai~, where she persists in her endeavors alongside other Eto-Musume and maintains her residence with Takeru.
