Aina Suzuki is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on July 23, 1995, in Hokkaido, Japan. She is affiliated with the agency IAM Agency and the music label Lantis. Her interest in the anime industry began during her elementary school years, sparked by shows such as Pretty Cure and Mermaid Melody. Originally aspiring to be an anime song singer, she had been learning folk songs since the age of six and won several national championships in the genre. A pivotal moment in her career came during her third year of high school when she became a finalist in the 7th All-Japan Anisong Grand Prix, which motivated her to move to Tokyo to pursue her dream.
In Tokyo, Suzuki enrolled in the International Media Institute, a voice actor training school affiliated with IAM Agency. Despite her initial lack of confidence in her voice acting abilities, encouragement from instructors led her to consider it as a career path. She made her voice acting debut in 2014, playing the small role of Mez in the anime series Akame ga Kill!.
Suzuki's breakthrough role came in 2015 when she was cast as Mari Ohara in the multimedia project Love Live! Sunshine!!. As a member of the project's idol group, Aqours, her career became closely associated with the franchise. She voiced Mari throughout the two seasons of the anime television series, the film Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow, and numerous related video games and musical releases. In 2017, she and her fellow Aqours cast members received a Singing Award at the 11th Seiyu Awards for their work on the project.
Suzuki has built a diverse career with many notable roles beyond Love Live! Sunshine!!. She is well-known for her energetic performance as the titular mischievous demon Jashin-chan in the Dropkick on My Devil! franchise, a role she has reprised across multiple seasons including Dropkick on My Devil!! Dash, Dropkick on My Devil! X, and an OVA. She also voices Yoshi, a member of the teasing trio, in Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro and its second season. Her other prominent anime roles include Kana Hoshisato in Hatena Illusion, Rina Shioi in Magical Girl Site, Shino Ukita in PuraOre! Pride of Orange, Yuki Aoba in Rumble Garanndoll, Mone Ishiya in Teppen—!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, and Mari in the spin-off Genjitsu no Yohane -Sunshine in the Mirror-. She also voiced Allen in A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring and Chikage Kōri in the Yuki Yuna is a Hero franchise.
