Description
Alba Cocodoro is a supporting character in B-Daman CrossFire, introduced as a boy of few words who hails from the village of Sauzu, located along the Tamazon River near South City. He is a descendant of the Cocodoro family, a lineage entrusted with the duty of guarding the remnants and sacred sites of an ancient B-Daman civilization. This heritage defines much of his early identity, as he lives a secluded life in the jungle with his grandfather, who serves as the village chief, dedicated to preserving the secrets of the past.

In terms of personality, Alba is notably serious, taciturn, and reserved, rarely speaking more than necessary or expressing his emotions openly. He seldom smiles and can appear stern or unapproachable, a demeanor that aligns with his solemn responsibilities as a guardian. Despite his stoic exterior, he possesses a kind heart and a genuine love for B-Daman, which motivates his actions and his ultimate decision to aid others. His straightforward nature means he says exactly what he means without unnecessary flourishes, making him a direct and honest, if not particularly warm, individual.

Alba initially acts as an antagonist when the main group, led by protagonist Riki Ryugasaki, ventures into his village seeking answers. To conceal his identity while carrying out his duties as the guardian of a hidden temple, Alba dons a crocodile mask and becomes the mysterious B-Shot vigilante the group has been tracking. He challenges Riki and his friends, not out of malice, but as a test to determine if they are worthy of entering the ancient ruins he protects. He confronts Riki directly in a Break Bomber match, a high-stakes battle within the temple where losing platforms collapse. Although Alba is a highly skilled B-Shot, he is defeated by Riki's True Dragon Drive technique. Following his loss, Alba recognizes that the power has chosen Riki, and he agrees to leave his village and join the team on their quest to gather the legendary B-Shots.

Key relationships define his development. His bond with his grandfather is foundational, as it is the elder who reveals Alba's secret identity to the group and encourages him to leave the village. His primary relationship is with Riki, whom he initially opposes but ultimately accepts as a friend and leader. After reconciling, Alba becomes a steadfast ally, acting as a guardian to Riki as they travel together. He is also perceptive, as Samuru Shigami immediately sees through his masked disguise, a testament to Samuru's keen observation skills.

Alba's notable abilities are intrinsically linked to his B-Daman, Lightning Diles. This B-Daman is modeled after a crocodile, which is reflected in Alba's family name and his own masked persona. Lightning Diles is a Rapid-Fire Type B-Daman with a unique core part that allows for bottom-loading of marbles, a technique Alba performs with skillful flair by tossing the marbles into the air and catching them in the B-Daman. In battle, Alba uses powerful super-shots such as Crush Fang and Fang Strike, which summon the B-Animal of a crocodile to attack. As a descendant of the ancient guardians, Alba also possesses a unique sensitivity to ancient B-Daman, as he could sense something special about Riki's Thunder Dracyan immediately upon meeting him. Throughout the series, Alba develops from a silent, isolated guardian into a more integrated and cooperative member of the team, using his skills and knowledge of the ancient world to help his new friends.
