Description
Kaito Samejima is a main character from the anime B-Daman Crossfire. He is an energetic and cheerful B-Shot, which is the term for a player in the series, and he is a member of the East Block. Having lived abroad, Kaito possesses a straightforward and open personality that is often noted by others. His approach to competition is showmanship; he enjoys entertaining spectators with flashy and charming plays, with his signature move being an impressive one-handed rapid-fire shooting style.

In terms of appearance, Kaito is an eleven-year-old boy with blonde hair and forest green eyes. His hair is styled to spike downwards, and he is typically seen wearing a red and blue beanie on his head. He has a small bandage on his right cheek. His attire consists of a beaten-up gray and white striped shirt worn under a green jacket with a red stripe on the right arm, complemented by blue pants rolled up to just below his knees. His chosen B-Daman, the toy battling unit central to the series, is the rapid-fire type known as Lightning Fin.

Kaito debuts in the storyline as the eighth contestant in a competition, arriving late to the event. Despite being initially ridiculed by officials and peers for his tardiness, he remains unfazed. Instead of being discouraged, the jeers only encourage him to perform better in his battles. He proceeds to use his reckless rapid-fire technique and his special super shot to successfully secure the third-place slot in the Enchanted Long Bridge battle. Within the East Block, he is associated with other key characters such as Yuki Washimura, Simon Sumiya, Riki Ryugasaki, and Sumi Inaba. His development throughout the story focuses on his growth as a competitive B-Shot, where his natural talent and showy battle style are key elements of his identity as a rising champion. His notable abilities revolve entirely around his proficiency with rapid-fire shooting, a skill he can perform single-handedly, making him a unique and formidable opponent in the Crossfire tournaments.
