Naoya Shirakawa is a tall, seventeen‑year‑old student at Seika High School who initially resents Misaki Ayuzawa for her strict, reforming attitude toward the school. He is part of a trio of close friends often called the idiot trio, which also includes Ikuto Sarashina and Ryuunosuke Kurosaki. After he and his friends discover that Misaki works part‑time at a maid café, they attempt to expose her, but Takumi Usui easily defeats Naoya in a confrontation. This event quickly transforms Naoya from an antagonist into one of Misaki’s most enthusiastic supporters, and he becomes a regular customer at Café Maid Latte. His friends call him Shiroyan, and he was known as the White Demon during his middle‑school delinquent days. Naoya has a fun‑loving and energetic personality; he is easily excited, especially by hero‑themed shows, and tends to react emotionally to both good and bad fortunes. He possesses considerable physical strength and a strong build, which he sometimes uses in playful or rash ways. His main motivation is the fun and excitement he finds in supporting the café and its maids, and he is always eager to join his friends in their antics. Over the course of the story, Naoya develops from a rebellious troublemaker into a loyal regular who, alongside his friends, helps create a lighthearted atmosphere around Misaki’s secret job. In the later time‑skip, he is shown to be married with three children, having settled into a stable adult life.
